What was once a 10th Century castle has been lovingly restored into a new 36-key luxury hotel on the hills of Umbria. The restoration of the castle has been a labour of love for owners the Bolza family who describe the estate when they first came to it as being ‘overgrown and ramshackle’.

The hotel’s interiors feature local craftsmanship and décor and many items have been discovered at local antiques markets by the Bolza family. Locally-inspired dishes will be served at Castello di Reschio’s Alle Scuderie restaurant. Much of the ingredients served is produced on the estate – including honey, olive oil, pasta, and wine.

The suite everyone will want to check into is the stunning Tower Suite which is spread over 5 floors with its own roof garden and open-air tub to relax in while taking in the views over the stunning countryside. 

The 1,500-hectare estate already has nine restored farmhouses available to rent, dotted across Reschio’s rolling hills.
